Steadicam operator and cameraman Stephen Mitchell, will be using the Hocus Focus later this year to help beam
touchline pictures around the world from this year's most important international sporting event, the Football World Cup
In South Africa.
Steve Mitchell: "As a Steadicam operator and cameraman of over 25 years experience, I have found that the Hocus Focus
System has provided me with an excellent solution for sports OB's without having to use my costly film systems".
"It has proved perfect for sporting events. It has already been used on the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi and a couple of live
FA cup games and has become an invaluable part of my kit. The system has proved to be well made and reliable and I intend
to take it out to South Africa this summer for The World Cup"
The Hocus Focus system consists of a transmitter and receiver unit, motor unit and a choice of 3 interchangeable lens gears
depending on the tooth size on the lens. Mounting and installing the system to camera equipment is simple. The receiver
can be mounted directly to standard 15mm or 19mm rods using the optional mount, or any mount system with a ΒΌ-20 thread.
The motor mounts to 15mm rods or to 19mm rods through an optional adaptor. There are two limits which can be preset by
the user on the transmitter unit. This function can also be used to designate two focus stops, allowing seamless switching
between background and foreground objects.
The Hocus Focus is available now from our online store.
