The Hocus Focus is a wireless remote follow focus system which allows the user to precisely operate the focus ring of an SLR or broadcast lens from up to 200 metres away.
The system provides a choice of 10 bands on which to transmit the encoded data stream and two user definable limits to calibrate motor movement or serve as focus stops.
The transmitter requires a single 9v battery (12hrs runtime) and the receiver features a standard 4pin XLR (12v) power input, allowing the user to power the unit from a standard accessory power supply. The receiver also includes a battery mount which will accept standard Sony NP (Z1 type) batteries.
The transmitter features a full size fluid drag control knob with removable marking rings.
The motor has a quick change hub for a selection of gears with different pitches. A 15mm rod clamp is standard with the option of a 19mm clamp available for those using a RED camera.
The whole system is supplied in a Storm im2100 case, which is water and dust proof, and carries a lifetime manufacturer guarantee. The case is fitted out with custom cut foam and has a pocket to hold all of your batteries and spare items.
The Hocus Focus is intended for broadcast and SLR/DSLR lenses only. It is not intended for large cinema lenses.
